With the introduction of the AirPods Pro 2, Apple, at last, provided the AirPods Pro’s replacement. Although these earphones resemble their predecessor perfectly, Apple has improved them significantly this time. The AirPods Pro 2 offer stronger Active Noise Cancelation and longer battery life, but there are also some significant modifications to the charging case that comes with them.
Apple has been incorporating its Ultra Wideband processor into an increasing number of products over the last few years. In essence, this is how the AirTag came to be, as the same chip is used in the iPhone and other goods made by Apple. And now, the redesigned AirPods Pro 2 charging case contains the same chip.
How to find Lost AirPods Pro 2 with Precision Finding
Only the charging case itself can be used by Precision Finding to locate misplaced AirPods Pro 2. This means that if you’ve lost one (or both) of the earbuds without the case, you’ll have to rely on the Find My app’s more basic “find” option. Here’s how to use your iPhone to search for whatever you might be looking for.
- Make sure your iPhone is linked to your AirPods Pro 2.
- On the iPhone that is linked, launch the Settings app.
- Tap the AirPods Pro 2 name that appears.
- Tap Show in Find My as you scroll down.
- Hit the Find key.
- As you move about, pay attention to the on-screen instructions to find your AirPods.
Three separate displays will show up if you are looking for misplaced AirPods Pro 2 earbuds: “far,” “near,” and “here.” The screen will begin with a small dot in the center and enlarge in blue circles until it is completely filled. There are two additional buttons at the bottom of the screen that allows you to stop the search or play a sound to see if you can locate the AirPods Pro 2.

The screen displays a different interface since Apple’s new and improved charging case includes the U1 processor from the corporation. Similar to following a set of driving instructions in Apple Maps or Google Maps, you’ll notice more detailed instructions along with an arrow pointing in the right way. Your iPhone will display the distance till you find them underneath the arrows. Additionally, the bottom has the same two buttons.
The main distinction is that the AirPods Pro 2 charging case has a small speaker built into it in addition to the AirPods itself, which play noises through the AirPods themselves. To improve your chances of discovering the AirPods Pro 2 charging case, tapping the audio button will cause it to make a sound.
