Vivo S15 sports a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 398 PPI density. Display seems to be very vivid and colorful. Viewing angels seems to be great for watching movies or playing games. It comes with a dimension of 163 x 76.2 x 8.5 mm (6.42 x 3.00 x 0.33 in) (Height x Width x Thickness) and weighs 190 grams. Phone feels bit heavy in hands but it’s ergonomic design makes it easy to hold. It does bears Glass front, glass back and plastic frame body design. Phone looks quite premium. 6.62-inch display seems to be big and you might feel difficult using this phone if you have short palm. Volume and power Button placement are placed on the right side and they are easy to reach so you won’t feel much issues using those.
Camera
Talking about the Optics, Vivo S15 comes with a triple camera setup at the back which consists of 64MP primary sensor with wide angle lens having f/1.9 aperture and PDAF. Secondary camera comes with 8MP ultra-wide angle lens having f/2.2 aperture. While the tertiary camera comes with 2MP macro lens having f/2.4 aperture. Camera performs very well and according to me it is one of the main USP of this smartphone. Pics taken in day light were great. We did loved the quality of the images of the photos taken in low light or artificial lighting conditions. Images taken from rear camera are very well saturated and natural color pops up which makes it even more favorable. Rear camera hold features like LED flash, panorama, HDR. It can record 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps.
On the front side, device is packed with 32MP sensor have wide angle lens with f/2.0 aperture for nice quality selfies. If you love to post selfies on Instagram or any other social media this smartphone won’t disappoint you. Selfies taken in low light were decent and usable. We were overall satisfied with the camera performance.
RAM and Internal Storage
Vivo S15 comes with Octa-core processor which is paired along with Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G SoC. Phone does also comes along with 8GB and 12GB of RAM while it offers 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage memory. Phone can perform heavy multi-tasking without any issues. We didn’t faces any lags or hangs. Device is well capable for playing heavy games, while playing games on high display settings, we didn’t faced any kind of frame drops. We tried playing games like PUBG and COD on the highest display settings. Talk about negatives, Vivo S15 does lacks the option to expand internal storage, which means you will not be able to use any micro SD card on this smartphone.
OS and Battery
Vivo S15 comes with Origin OS Ocean based on Android 12 operating system. Phone’s UI seems to be very clean and smooth. If you are a mobile enthusiast you will surely love to play around with it’s UI. Phone drives the energy from 4500 mAh battery that supports 66W fast battery charging. Phone takes around 40-45 minutes to charge the mobile completely.
