Sony Xperia 5 II is in the next line up to be unveiled by the Japanese technology giant though the name hasn’t been confirmed officially. Sony did announced the launching of a “new Xperia product” on September 17 and we all hope it will be named as Sony Xperia 5 II. Since the launch is not that far, internet is loaded with Sony Xperia 5 II specifications and leaked renders. It is said that phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G. In terms of display, there will be 120Hz display with 21:9 CinemaWide aspect ratio.
As per Sony, new “Xperia product launch will be livestreamed on its Facebook page and YouTube channel on September 17, 2020 at 9:00am CEST (12:30pm IST).

As per the rumor mill, Sony Xperia 5 II will sport a 6.1-inch full-HD+ HDR OLED display having 21:9 CinemaWide aspect ration. It is also said the display will offer 120Hz refresh rate as well as 240Hz touch-sensing rate. In terms of performance, the phone is claimed to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC paired along with Adreno 650GPU. Device will have the configuration of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which can be further expanded via microSD card.

Camera has also been the main USP of Sony smartphones. Report suggests that Sony Sony Xperia 5 II will carry a triple camera module at the back. The primary camera will be a 12 MP sensor having wide with Dual Pixel PDAF and OIS support. The secondary camera is claimed to be 12 MP sensor with telephoto lens having PDAF, 3x optical zoom and OIS. The third camera in the set-up will again be a 12MP sensor supporting ultrawide angle lens. As per rumors, phone is expected to come with 8 MP sensor at the front supporting wide angle lens.
In terms of Videos, rumors suggests that camera can capture 4K HDR videos at up to 120fps which means you can record slow-motion in 4K HDR quality. Other than this camera is expected to offer hybrid OIS/EIS stabilisation for video.
The phone is said to carry 4,000mAh battery which supports fast charging via USB Type-C. There will be 3.5mm jack available which do miss in most of the high range smartphones. In terms of dimensions, it is suggested to have a measurement of 158mm x 68mm x 8mm (Height x Width x Thickness)
We do need to wait till September 17, 2020 at 9:00am CEST (12:30pm IST) to know the actual specifications of the smartphones.
