Redmi has added a new variant to it’s Redmi Note 8 Pro series. A top end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant has been launched in China at a price of CNY 1,899 (Roughly Rs. 19,000). Redmi Note 8 Pro with 64GB and 128GB onboard storage variant are available in India while there is no confirmation when 8GB RAM + 256GB variant is coming to India.

Redmi Note 8 pro is a dual SIM android smartphone that comes with glass body design. It sports 6.53-inch IPS LCD display panel with a teardrop notch at the top. The display comes with FHD+, 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 395 ppi density. In terms of protection it comes with Corning gorilla glass on the back and front side besides this it is IP52 certified which makes its splash resistant.
In terms of camera, Redmi Note 8 Pro is packed by rear quad camera module which comprises of 64 MP primary sensor with wide lens accompanied by 8 MP sensor with ultrawide lens, 2 MP dedicated macro camera and 2 MP depth sensor. There is a 20 MP sensor on the front.
Redmi Note 8 pro is powered by Mediatek Helio G90T chipset paired with Octa-core processor, Mali-G76 MC4, up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. Phone can be further expanded up to 256GB via hybrid slot.
Phone runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system with MIUI 10 skin on top. It sports a 4500 mAh battery with Fast battery charging 18W. Phone does offer features like Infrared, NFC, fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C.
The device measures around 161.4 x 76.4 x 8.8 mm (Height x Width x Thickness) and it weighs around 200 grams.
