Design and Display

Realme X2 Pro comes with a very pleasant glass body design at the back and front. The Realme X2 Pro offers a teardrop notch enabled display at the front while Quad camera module is placed under in a vertical order at the back alongside LED flash. The body material is made up of glass, and it offers a corning gorilla glass v5 protection on both sides which surely protects the device from minor accidental damages.

Realme X2 Pro has an ergonomic design with curved edges which makes it comfortable to hold while it is bit slippery at times, it gets smudges very easily due to the glass body. Phone sports a large 6.5-inch display which sometimes makes it difficult to use with a single hand if you have a small palm. Volume rockers are placed on the right side while left side is occupied with a SIM tray and power button. Earpiece is placed just above the notch while there is a speaker grille, USB Type-C port, mic and 3.5mm audio jack placed at the bottom. Phone comes with a thickness of 8.7mm and weighs around 199 grams which sometimes feels little heavy in hands.

In terms of Display, Realme X2 Pro flaunts a large 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display. The display offers full HD+ (2,400 x 1,080) resolution, 84.9% screen-to-body ratio, 20:9 ratio and 402 ppi density. The Display is very much sharp and vibrant. Colors are well saturated and it doesn’t put much strain in the eyes. The phone display supports HDR10+ standards besides this it offers 90Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 100% and 1000 nits max brightness which makes it very much favorable in it’s league . The sunlight legibility is really good, you can use this device under sunlight without any issues.

Camera

Talking about the camera, Realme X2 Pro comes with quad camera set-up at the back which is one of the main USP of the device. The quad rear cameras are placed vertically alongside the LED flash. The quad camera consists of 64 MP primary sensor having wide-angle lens, f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. The secondary camera is a 13MP sensor with telephoto lens, f/2.5 aperture, PDAF and 2x optical zoom. Module does comes with 8 MP tertiary sensor having ultra-wide-angle lens while the fourth in the list is a 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

Camera performs very well in all lighting conditions, the images comes out to be very much detailed with all natural color reserved. You will get nice and detailed quality bokeh images by using the portrait mode. camera will not let you down when it it comes to photography is  in low lighting conditions, images were very much clear and hardly and noise felt.
Telephoto lens works very well and helps you to take brilliant images without any issues. With the help of this telephoto lens one can take splendid ultra-wide angle images specially in low light conditions, nightscape mode does a fair job as it can drastically reduce noise levels and capture brighter photos by preserving all natural colors.

If we talk about the front camera, 16MP sensor does a commendable and won’t let you down ever . We did loved the quality of selfies taken during daylight. Low light selfies looks amazing all thanks to night mode, the selfies are sharper and it restores the subject’s face in the dark and capture surprisingly natural skin tones.

Performance and Software

In terms of Performance, The Realme X2 Pro is powered by powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC paired along with Adreno 640 GPU and up to 12GB of RAM. We do really feel phone is extremely fast and it’s performance is very much identical to that of OnePlus 7T. Phone can handle all day to day tasks with much of an issue, we didn’t any hiccups or lags while using it for a long time. Phone can easily run games like PUBG or Asphalt in the highest settings, gaming experience was very fluid and no slowdown or shutter experience every felt. We did felt slight warmness after a long game-play but that is very much common in all devices.

Realme X2 Pro boots on ColorOS v6.1 based on Android 9.0 (pie) operating system but we surely assume it will be running on Android 10 in no time. The UI is quite colorful and tricky at times. If you are an android one admirer you just need to send some time to understand UI features, once you get it you will love it. You may get annoyed by ton of bloatware that comes with the custom skin.

ColorOS offers some amazing features like system-wide dark which can be manually revoked on your installed applications. It does offers gaming tools which makes you aware of your in-game fps along with the smartphone’s temperature. Phone does comes with very much pre-installed applications which can be removed or uninstall if you want. The in-display scanner sensor performs very well and it’s very much accurate and fast. The face unlock does it’s job very well even in low light conditions. The speaker grille at the bottom is quite loud and produces nice quality audio all thanks to Dolby Atmos stereo speakers that comes with 2 dedicated amplifiers which is very impressive.

Battery Life

Realme X2 Pro is powered by a 4000mAh battery. The battery provides more than enough juice for a day use with a very heavy usage. The phone supports 50W SuperVOOC Flash Charge which can charge the device from 0 to 100 percent in about 40 minutes isn’t that amazing.

Verdict

Realme X2 Pro comes with a premium glass body design, large display with Super AMOLED panel. It comes with Nice camera set-up at the back and front which works great. The very main concern is the bloatware which ends up taking most of the space of your smartphone. The price for the device is set at very competitive price Rs. 29,990 which gives a tough competition to Redmi K20 Pro and OnePlus 7T when it comes to price, performance and design.
