It was unavailable for quite a sometime due to the outbreak of corona virus. This phone was launched back in September last year. Asus ROG Phone 2 increased price and availability in India
As per Asus, ROG Phone 2 will be available through Flipkart.com. If we talk about the price, the price has hiked from Rs. 37,999 to Rs. 39,999 for 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option. While the top variant with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage is now listed at Rs. 62,999 though it was launched at Rs. 59,999 in India. It is said that, the Asus ROG Phone 2 increased price is due to increase in the GST rates on mobile phones and depreciation of the Indian rupee against the US dollar.
The Flipkart Plus members can purchase it today from 8pm. While non Flipkart plus members can enjoy the sale from tomorrow i.e Tuesday, June 23.
Asus ROG Phone 2 specifications and features
Asus ROG Phone 2 flaunts 6.59-inch FHD+ display having 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top. Under the hood it is powered by Snapdragon 855+ chipset paired along with octa-core processor and Adreno 640 (700 MHz) GPU. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage which cannot be further expanded.
In terms of Optics, It has a dual rear camera set-up at the back carrying 48 MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF and laser AF. The secondary camera some with 13 MP ultrawide angle lens and f/2.4 aperture. There is a 24 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture on the front to take nice quality selfies.
